It explores the challenges of coming out and living authentically in a conservative environment, addressing discrimination, violence, and social stigma. Filmmakers Dr. Robert "Bobby" Darrow and Dr. David Hylan Jr. are two of the three founding members of People Acting for Change and Equality (PACE) and have been deeply involved in the Northwest Louisiana community for many years in various capacities. Both hold doctoral degrees from LSU-Shreveport, have been longtime LGBTQ+ activists, have experience in documentary filmmaking, and have led nonprofit organizations in Shreveport. They are widely known and beloved throughout the region.
